As part of the exhibition planning process, we invited visual problem solver Emily Marko to document our Allies Meeting. Our Allies: artist Jazmin Jackson, student Deborah Osakue, visiting lecturer Dr. Gabby Yearwood (Pitt’s Department of Anthropology) provided valuable feedback and guidance for our project.
The piece created by Marko is now part of the permanent collection of the UAG. It provides insight into the process of turning ‘Black Voices’ into an exhibit from an idea.
