Unusual four-panel screen, having an almost geometric design. Its heavy coromandel frame has inset hard stone panels in shades of green, blue, and grey. Made of black laquer, shell inlays, jade mirrors (4 on each panel) and 4 legendary animals on each panel. Mirrors have triad. Chinese motifs (phonix, dragon,tree on moon, man chopping tree, rabbit beating herbs). Peaches on verso signify longevity. verso-peaches=longevity.
