Period of 1736-1795. This delicate porcelain vase is decorated with a detailed but tranquil scene. Trees and rocks are depicted along the bank of a river before which are two thatched-roof shelters on stilts. As porcelain is a "wet" medium, the execution of such refined detail is especially impressive. The fine seal of Emperor Ch'ien Lung is underfoot.
