This drawing is on a handmade paper that contains a watermark depicting an eagle.
Bearing the inscription “‘del Cavedone”’ in later hand.
This drawing depicts the Old Testament prophet Aaron, the brother of Moses.
The staff and incense burner are commonly associated with Aaron, and his garments and headdress are appropriate for his role as the first High Priest of the Israelites.
