Bearing the inscription “Tocco in Penna di Stefanino della Bella e di poi incisa in Rame dal Mae[stro] in minor grandezza” in later hand Gift of George Hubbard Clapp, 41.121 This drawing of the Flight into Egypt is a preparatory sketch for an engraving of the subject created by Stefano Della Bella in 1662. It is one of the few drawings in the collection where a confident attribution is possible.
