DescriptionIllustrations for German translation of E. Bulwer's The Last Days of Pompeii (p. 1854). Kirchbach's illustrations were published in Munich in 1883. 20 pages. Kirchbach did illustrations between 1884-1886 after traveling through Italy, France and England. Originally part of three volume set with cloth-backed boards and printed paper labels on spines. One of the most important books from this author.
