Copy painted from life of Rembrandt's "Anatomy Lesson of Dr. Tulp." Bequest to the University of Pittsburgh of Attorney Thomas M. Marshall, Jr. (died in 1944). He had commissioned Charles Heberer to go to Holland to paint from Rembrandt's painting.
