American
Industrial mill scene with 1 figure on track with line of empty ingot molds waiting to be filled with steaming hot molten steel.
"Every steel yard is filled with ingot modls on buggies. They stand in long rows waiting to be pulled by "dinky" locomotives into the pouring shed to receive molten steel. They then go to the stripping cranes where the molds are removed from the ingots which are sent to the soaking pits. The network of narrow gauge tracks turns the steel mill plant area into a diminutive railway system." (D. Grafty, "Pennsylvania as Artists See it: The Gimbel PA Art Collection", 1948)
